Root touch-up
How to Hide Roots While Waiting for the Next Coloring?
To limit the root effect, you should space out your hairdresser visits to a maximum of six weeks. Here are some tips to hide the roots between two colorings.
If you don't have time to book an appointment with the hairdresser or don't want to try a DIY method to hide the roots, here are all the methods to reduce the root effect.
Touch Up the Roots
While waiting to go to the hairdresser to touch up the color, simply search your makeup bag for products adapted to the roots and cover them with a good brushstroke.
If you have dark roots in blonde hair, apply beige eyeshadow to brighten them up. If, on the other hand, you have light or white roots in dark hair, apply black or brown mascara, making sure to remove excess product from the brush first.
Special root touch-up pens are used like markers. With a brush applicator, we apply the color precisely to dry hair.
In general, you can use this type of touch-up pencil about ten times. Make sure to choose the color closest to your hair color. There are many available: dark blonde, light brown, auburn, light and dark brown, black, red, or even bright red. You can even draw directly on wet roots.
Spray the Roots
Magical and quick, we spray colored keratin microfiber that will settle on the roots to camouflage the root growth. Ephemeral, this powder hides ugly roots for a day, in all weather. It all starts with the first shampoo.
Color Kit
To overcome the root effect of regrowth, there are now suitable solutions, colorants that only cover the roots. We consult the color chart available in the box to make sure we're in the right shade.
Before applying, we soak hair oil pieces to protect them from the pigments we will deposit on the roots. The result can last up to six weeks and, therefore, double the duration of our coloring, all in just 10 minutes of application.
Use a spray to say goodbye to roots
The colored spray fully fulfills its function. Simply spray on the new growth to give color, as you would with a dry shampoo to refresh your hair.
It comes in different shades to better meet women's needs: dark brown, light brown, dark blonde, and platinum blonde.
Comb your hair intelligently
To create the illusion of concealing roots, do the right hairdos, curl and pin your hair. It produces highlights and reduces the root effect.
Accessories
To hide the roots, there is also an obvious solution: conceal them. For this, choose a beautiful headband, a lovely fabric headband, and create a half-sixties hairstyle.
Tease your hair for Brigitte Bardot volume before wearing a headband.
If you prefer, pin your hair by smoothing the lengths. Ballerina hairstyles are perfect; they darken the hair and reduce growth. If you're a fan of beauty tutorials, learn how to braid your hair in a crown.
