Eyeliners and Lip Liners
How to Choose and Apply Lip Liner?
The lip liner was one of the main makeup products of the 90s. It was abandoned for some time before making a strong comeback. However, its use is no longer the same! In the past, the idea was to outline your lips so that it was noticeable. Today, the lip liner is used to draw a precise outline but should not be overly conspicuous.
So, how to choose it well, and above all, how to apply it?
Which Lip Liner to Use?
Forget the dark lip contour drawn with a pencil and paired with a light lipstick. This type of makeup is no longer in fashion and is even considered a real mistake!
Currently, the lip liner is simply used to define the contours of the mouth before applying lipstick. However, it should perfectly match your lipstick. It allows for more precise makeup and enhances its fixation.
Choosing the Right Lip Liner
The lip liner comes in numerous colors and different textures.
Two different options are available.
• The first is a pencil very close to the natural color of your lips. This will allow you to better enhance your lipstick and can also be used with a nude gloss.
• The second is a lip liner in red, pink, or coral very close to the color of your lipstick. The idea is not to exceed one or two maximum tones, so as not to create a very visible demarcation.
When the lip liner is noticeable, it creates an overly flashy effect that is completely outdated. Makeup artists now favor freshness and naturalness.
Also, remember that creamy textures of lip liners are perfect to accompany a matte lipstick. Drier pencils, on the other hand, help define the shine or a more satin red. However, the drier the pencil, the more challenging it is to apply.
How to Outline Your Lips Well?
After choosing the perfect lip liner, we move on to applying it to the outline of the lips.
Start by drawing the small V in the middle of the upper lip. Then, extend the line around the edges of the lips, up to the corners. Then start from the middle of the lower lip and go up on each side.
