Moisturizer
How to Choose a Good Moisturizer for Men?
Men also need to take care of their skin every day, and for that, they need a good moisturizing cream suitable for their needs. Follow the advice.
Addressing the needs of your skin, cleaning your face every day is not enough. To have beautiful skin, you also need to moisturize it. It is essential to make a preliminary diagnosis of the epidermis to understand its needs and choose the product that best suits your problem.
In fact, the range of face creams for men continues to grow, and amid all of this, it's not easy to make the right choice.
For so-called normal skin (without any real problems), a very fluid moisturizing treatment does the trick: it needs to be well hydrated and protected from external aggressions, such as pollution and dust.
For combination skin (oily in the T-zone: forehead, nose, and chin), the goal is to mattify this part while moisturizing the rest of the face. Therefore, it is better to opt for a mixed, mattifying, and moisturizing care.
Oily skin should eradicate its worst enemies: pimples and blackheads. To do this, we choose a mixed treatment that helps dry and mattify problematic areas and moisturizes the skin throughout the day.
For dry and reactive skin, the goal is to intensely moisturize the skin, choosing, if possible, gentle products designed for sensitive skin. As the textures should be light, we opt for milks, lotions, and liquid creams. The texture of the moisturizer is an important factor to consider: in winter, you choose richer textures than in summer to better protect your skin from the cold.
When to Use an Anti-Aging or Anti-Wrinkle Product?
In men, fine lines and wrinkles appear much later than in women. When the skin is fair, men start to see the first signs of aging around forty years old, while other skin tones will not have wrinkles before fifty years old. Therefore, it is appropriate to choose a suitable anti-aging product here, with a fresh texture to deeply moisturize the skin and erase fine lines.
While women start using anti-aging products from the age of 20 or 25, men have a little more time ahead. However, it doesn't hurt to start these care routines to prevent wrinkles as soon as possible.
As men's skin is thicker and tends to be oilier, it produces more sebum than a woman's. Generally, in the age range of 20 to 40 years old, most men have combined or problematic skin issues. The use of an exfoliant containing fruit acids at least once a week is essential to exfoliate, regulate sebum production, and eradicate problems with ingrown beard hairs.
BB and CC Creams, Are They Worth It for Men?
New makeup ranges suitable for men are beginning to develop. It is no longer rare to find in the cosmetics market BB creams, CC creams, and other types of lightly colored creams specially designed for men. These products help refresh and even out the complexion without the makeup effect and, above all, camouflage redness and other skin problems like rosacea. But beware, this type of cream is not moisturizing enough to be used alone, especially for dry and reactive skin.
